Upgrading to OSX. Questions about Parallels

I am about to upgrade to OSX El Capitan from 10.6.8. (I know it's about time)

My questions(s)?

1.) Will Parallels Desktop 9 for Mac (v. 9.0.2451) run on OSX?

I use Parallels to run Windows 8.1, which I use to run Quicken Home and Business 2015 R 11 (24.1.11.1).

So I'm assuming if Parallels 9 is compatible then the Windows and Quicken will be as well?

2.) I am also running Office 2008 for Mac - which I assume will not be working after the upgrade?? Does anyone have any experience with Office for Mac on OSX.
